Review of 'Nicholas Nickleby' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

A very solid story. Moves at a more consistently rapid pace than some of the other Dickens novels. The main story arc is not as interesting as some of the others, but I found the whole thing engaging and the ending quite moving. The female characters are poorly developed, as in most Dickens works, so I have to say I'm a little glad I've now read all of his novels, and I can concentrate on other writers.
