I’m utterly appalled by this book.

Did Jane— or her editor— bother to re-read the previous books before writing this? Because it felt as if they forgot where they were. Names were misspelled, plot points changed (since when did Henky— BY THE WAY, she states she doesn’t use the kk now.. but that goes completely ignored! Meanwhile, “Dark” doesn’t have another K slapped on? Why? With a k in the name isn’t that the assumption?), characters act completely off their rocker. One kid just dies on a needless Drakk hunt. Erikkkan dies a pointless death.

Why is Likkarn suddenly Jakkin’s uncle? And why is his father suddenly referred to like a stupid, useless bonder that knew nothing about dragons, when for the previous novels he was regarded as a dragon trainer with talent but made a mistake that got him killed?
