I'm confused at all the 5 star reviews for this book. It was not that good simply put. When the author goes on and on describing the saguaro cactus in poetic and spooky ways but can't bother to do a 1 minute wiki search to double check if the saguaro's range includes Texas, then nope. Characters were cardboard cutouts, the eco-terrorism, silly. Plot holes abound. If Cora wanted to leave her brother so badly, all she had to do was walk away. Just, eh.
