Wel mooi geschreven, maar gaandeweg te deprimerend voor mij. Dat onvermijdelijke onheil dat steeds sterker begint te broeien tot de nare ontknoping is gewoon niet zo mijn ding.

You don't need to get very far into this book before you know what's going to happen. The characters are begging for it. So the question is whether you can stand the tension.
