The dedication announces that this book makes "the trilogy", suggesting there won't be another in the series, but the ending not only fails to tie up the story but hints at ominous further developments, which suggests that there will be more to come. It's been a while since I've read the first two, so I could be wrong, but it seems to me that these are getting darker. Now Newbury & Hobbes are not only fighting bad guys, but they're fighting the very establishment that employs them, which we discover is rotten at the core. Still, I'm invested in the characters now, so I'm sure I'll continue to read the series, if said series continues to be written.
