A bit silly but I enjoyed the format. I think my first path to Egypt was better than the second one I tried out. Not amazing writing but an extra star for bringing back choose you own adventure stories.
I'm not a romance reader, in the traditional sense, so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the target that is parodied. However, I did get some laughs and developed some definite preferences among the romantic objects on offer (#TeamMcTaggart). I particularly love the linguistic gymnastics required to be descriptive without being explicit.
My mother picked up the book, read one page, and put it back down saying she wasn't old enough to read this.
