Whoa. I did not expect such a poorly written book as this. A terrible pick for storytime! Overlong, meandering without being cute, a little racist, and in no way does it come up with anything interesting to say. It is just a poorly conceived plot, but worse than that, my 4 yo was bored to tears during certain passages.

Still, he didn't hate it. He says his favorite part was when Mr. Wonka spooned Vita-Wonk into baby Josephine and baby George to age them back to their 80s (and BTW the grandparents were older in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - a continuity error!).

My favorite part was closing the book at the end.
