This was one of those books where I misunderstood the back copy. For some reason I thought this was about a woman whose kid goes off to college and then embraces the MILF moniker someone gave her. So I expected way more sex in this book than there actually is. In fact, the fact that the only reference to PIV sex was blink-and-miss-it was particularly disappointing (although by that point I had figured out that this book wasn't what I thought it was going to be).
This book continues to prove my point that you're taking a chance on any book labeled "A Novel" because there's a good chance there'll be no plot. While I found this super readable - once I hit about the 50% mark, the story sped up - I kept waiting for the point. So much so, that I hoped Eve would go over to …
