This was a fun read for me. It's classified as a young adult novel but I it works for adults. The combination of disasters that opened this story are a bit unlikely, but I didn't mind so much. The combination of disasters made for an interesting survival problem. I thought the characters were fairly well drawn (at least the main ones) and their actions seemed likely to me. They were perhaps a little more emotionally capable under the circumstances, but that's not unusual for a book like this. I had fun.
