As always: draws you in for good

4 stars

I really like the Kay Scarpetta series, for it is dark, it is from the 80s, it smells of smoke and whiskey and shoulder pads. This is another good one, though it ends rather abruptly, I found.

I have to admit it's been a long time since I read the last one. Yet it draws me in like back then: good mistery, lots of small hints peppered throughout until you see the greater picture. I love Scarpetta, I really love Marino and his stubbornness. And I really like these books.
