Wonderfully human
5 stars
This book does a fantastic job of portraying the characters as they are, being teenagers caught in the crossfire of a corporate war. They're so 17 about it. The book is formatted as if you're reading through internal memos, emails, and chat logs. Some of it reads like early 2000s IRC chat logs. The format makes hard realities hit harder, and it has one of the best depictions of hacking in science fiction that I've ever seen.
