A very thought provoking mystery set in a world destroyed by war and occupation (post WW2 Germany-Austria). The novel challenges many of the typical platitudes associated with Nazism, Zionism, Stalinism, and "Americanism". It is as HL Mencken once said: "For every complex problem [issue] there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong."
