Review of 'The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik' on 'Goodreads'

You had me at Bowie. I bought this because I wanted to read it before recommending it to my Bowie- loving, college-attending, art-student daughter. I get a bit nervous before reading a coming-of-age story written from a male point of view. Sometimes they are a little too perverse for my liking. It turns out there was no need to worry. Parts were like they were my own journal entries from when I was this age. Other times I was frustrated because the characters deflated to paper doll dimensions. It turns out there was a purpose to that character-based, Noah-centric setting that practically has no vegetation or dimensional world. That setting was a temporary period of time in the book and intentional. This book is quoteable. It is a trip worth taking with nods to movies like Say Anything and the Never-Ending Story.
