Review of "Summary of I'm Still Here : Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by Austin Channing Brown" on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
I really enjoyed Brown's discussions on race and allowed myself to be pulled up short and listen where I had trouble hearing what was being said. The book was informative and emotional.
The only issue I had was facing her deep Christian roots. As an atheist, I found her desire to wrap her suggestions in the veil of religion extremely off-putting. I realize now that the book is clearly indcated to be religious in tone in most reviews. My library did not say that in the summary.
