This manga nearly devastated me. It's a tale of parental abuse, told through a year in the abused child's life (13-14 years old Osabe). What you get in this graphic novel is a glimpse info the terrifying emotional and mental manipulations that Seiko, Osabe's mother, lays on her gentle son's mind and soul. It's intensely realistic, dramatic, utterly horrific tale, with just enough gentle and kind moments to allow the reader to move through it. Honestly, it should be taught in Psychology classes.
