Chris reviewed Christie Malry's Own Double-entry by B. S. Johnson

Possibly the least experimental of BS Johnson's experimental novels, which isn't saying much. Metafictional, fourth-wall-breaking, because fiction as the Great Fiery Elephant himself said, is Telling Lies.
I recall the Little Vermifuge and the blowing-up of the dole office on Shepherds Bush Road, which amused me at the time because while I don't recall when I read this book, it may not have been long after I last signed on at that very Jobcentre. And carcinogenic cream or what have you.
