A huge disappointment

The premise and earlier part of the book were intriguing but after like the 40% mark, it just went off the rails and turned into a totally different story than what was described in the synopsis.

While I got what the author was trying to get at with the messages about misogyny and the patriarchy, the execution was so terrible. It was very hashtag white feminist. The book ultimately failed in its mission to view the patriarchy through a critical lens when the plot twist essentially boiled down to “women being crazy and delusional.”

A few thoughts about this book:

1. Why is the “twist” always at the expense of a woman with mental health issues?

2. What kind of magic dick does Seth have to ruin the lives of three different women?

3. I was thinking this book was a solid 3⭐️ throughout. Until the ending. It was just so bad.

Not too bad of a book. I kind of knew what was going to happen, but it was done pretty well. I did like the writing style a good bit and the story went along at a pretty nice pace.
