More nail-biting soldier action in stranger settings filled with even more space kaiju. Loved how much more we got to see of the Lankie life! I wished we would had got more insights or something as the end of the book didn't offer any explanations, there's still so much mysteries left unresolved. On the other hand though, the old, weary soldier ran out of his luck in the end and he finally gets to rest.

I enjoyed this. I think Kloos did a good job to not make this just cut-and-paste from the previous books. At times it became..."here we go again", but those were few and far between. I really enjoyed this series.
