Review of 'The last mile' on 'Goodreads'

I received this book as a gift from my previous employer and, on the whole, I enjoyed it. It is one of those books you start reading and just keep reading until you need to take a break for something else. Like eating or sleeping, that sort of thing.

It is a detective novel with a couple interesting twists. I don't think any of the twists caught me by surprise and the book felt a little predictable. Just the same, it was a good read and I am already thinking about the next Baldacci book to read.

Review of 'The last mile' on 'Goodreads'

Baldacci writes entertaining books. I skipped the first Amos Decker book for some reason, but that was not a problem.

I liked that Decker used to be the football hero but is now quite fat. A nice change to the usual superhero this kind of book features. We'll see how fit he'll be in the next one.

The story could have been a bit more dense, but it was still a fast read and I enjoyed it.
