hiepph reviewed Absolutely on Music by Seiji Ozawa
Review of 'Absolutely on Music' on 'Goodreads'

Pleasant read with simple writing style of Murakami (and translation by Jay Rubin) as always.
First chapters might give you an impression that this book is heavily about orchestra pieces analysis, but the book is truly about the passion with classical music, the life of Seiji Ozawa as a conductor, how he approaches music, and the way he passes his passion to younger generations.
I especially enjoy the "Interludes" where Murakami and Ozawa chat about the resemblance between writing and music.
