If you want to try to understand leadership, read this book... This book is an honest account of what it was like to successfully lead the toughest and most successful company in World War II. Major Winters tries to be objective as he explains the experiences that he and his men endured during some of the most brutal battles of the War. Winters covers many major strategic and tactical decisions, the reasons behind those the decisions and the results of those decisions, both good and bad, and how his unique circumstances effected his decision making and why other men would have done things differently.
