ish-i-ness reviewed Borealis by Aisha Sabatini Sloan
Review of 'Borealis' on 'Goodreads'

Fine for what it is, but although I think I should be particularly disposed to enjoy something like this - essentially a journal of someone who jots down observations and philosophical musings (a writer) - but I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as I should have. I was glad to find a kindred spirit in someone whose experience moving through the world is shown in this book to be different than mine thanks to how she differs from me and the realities of the world we both live in. I guess I felt that it was a little too much like a journal. And I’m simply not as interested in glaciers as she is.
