Я проверил, всё хорошо: Даймонд не сошёл с ума и сам же во вступлении говорит, что аналогия с личными кризисами необходима главным образом как держащий читателя-неспециалиста нарратив, чтобы исследование можно было отправить куда-то кроме академической публикации или печи.

Секция, прорабатывающая потенциальные грядущие кризисные ситуации показалась интереснее, чем историческая.
