These days, everyone wants to know more about how contagions' work.
While this book was written and published before the coronavirus pandemic, it is nonetheless a good insight of how viruses spread, and why they die off.
It offers an easy and quick reading, not that impressive content though, imho.
We learn:
• how malaria research found its way into the study of sociology;
• how bad correlations led to a financial collapse;
• how the rules of contagion can be used to reduce gun violence;
• how online content can mimic contagions, but the role of influencers is limited; and
• how technology can help us track contagions, with limitations and raised ethical, transparency issues.
