All it took was one kiss…

…one kiss that changed my life forever.

My dad is gonna freak when I tell him my secret…my truth…unless he finds out first.

No one will ever treat me the same at Benedictine Catholic High School. I'll be made fun of, cast out, or worse, beaten for being different…for being me…for falling in love with the wrong person…

…because I didn't do what I was told… …what was expected… …what was morally acceptable.

But I can't help it. I could get lost forever in Tommy's emerald green eyes, those eyes that see deep into my soul and move me like no other.

How the hell am I gonna tell my parents that I'm gay?

I was a bit disappointed that the theme of the first book just repeated. At least the outcome was very different. It was nice to return to Skyler’s world but I would have loved reading more about him—though obviously it makes sense to follow a different couple. The book felt significantly shorter than the first in the series which was good. It felt much “cleaner” than it as well, with no needless repetitions.
