I would have given this a 5 stars until the ending. Really a secondary plot line, or lines are started at the end and left hanging. We get the answers to Sunshine's case and the investigation that her daughter is doing on the side, well actually we only get part of the answer there too. So be ready for several dangling plot lines.
Having said that, it starts with a horrible blind date set up by mom and dad, and pretty quickly goes to her and her best friend trying their hand at a romance, I mean why not, they do love each other. Of course through these new cases, there is the over arching case from the first book of what happened to Sunshine during her abduction years before and who saved her. We get further down that road but it isn't answered fully.
So this has a lot of humor and love in it, which makes me forgive a bit of the several plot lines being hanging at the end. I really want to know how many more books in the series and will wait for the last one or at least an assurance that there is a wrap up before picking up any more in the series. I really don't like being left hanging even if getting there was so fun.
