Hillary Rodham Clinton reveals what she was thinking and feeling during one of the most controversial and unpredictable presidential elections in history. Free from the constraints of running, Hillary takes you inside the intense personal experience of becoming the first woman nominated for president by a major party in an election marked by rage, sexism, exhilarating highs and infuriating lows, stranger-than-fiction twists, Russian interference, and an opponent who broke all the rules. She describes what it was like to run against Donald Trump, the mistakes she made, how she has coped with a shocking and devastating loss, and how she found the strength to pick herself back up afterward. With humor and candor, she tells readers what it took to get back on her feet -- the rituals, relationships, and reading that got her through, and what the experience has taught her about life. Couldn't put down this part history, part memoir. Hillary takes us through her experience of all the key moments of the election, the plans she had if elected, and an analysis of the emails & Russia, and of course a post-mortem of why she lost the election. You can feel the incredible strength of this woman who's endured so much throughout her career. She's also extremely patriotic. Another thing that comes through is that she is extremely intelligent and well read. It's a shame more Americans didn't feel the same way. You can feel her disappointment in the book as she tries to come to terms with her loss. It looked like it was her destiny to become President but alas it was not to be.

What happened is that you lost.

I wanted to like this book but I couldn't.
I wanted to sympathize with you but I couldn't.
I wanted to like you as a candidate but I couldn't.
I didn't want that guy to win but he did.

Clinton's style isn't awful but it's USA today at best. These are at least two nails on the chalk board:
"when I read the news, i wanted to throw the remote." Who reads with a remote control?
"Almost no one has lost a presidential election (hi Al hi John hi Mitt)" WTF.

Every reason she gives for what happened has already been debated ad nauseam for the last year. She won't blame anyone on her team or really take full responsibility. No new revelations, still campaigning for something.
