Review of 'Saturdays' on 'Goodreads'

Surprising what turns up on Goodreads suggestions sometimes. I read this series when I was 11 or 12 and enjoyed it. This first volume, with each child having a solo adventure using their pooled allowance funds, is a slice of the past that may be completely foreign to today's kids. There are no helicopter parents in this series!
