I read this half because I'm trying to read more Star Wars, and half to set myself up for Jedi Survivor's release.
It was definitely Star Wars. A fun romp around the galaxy, a surprising amount of action, a bunch of people with different goals all fighting against the Empire together.
As a set-up for Jedi Survivor, I'm less sure. It was a good way to get myself back into the characters - everyone feels pretty good, at least - but it also feels like nothing really happened except for some stuff that might be a bit weird to explain again in the game. The plot conflicts were set up then resolved, but the character conflicts were set up and then left lingering in a mildly awkward way. Will the game address this whole saga, or will it end up retreading ground to set things up again? I'm not really …

Still, it was fun seeing Merrin melt some people so I'd recommend this well enough.
