No tenía ni idea sobre qué trataba el libro pero siendo tan famoso me ha chocado bastante que fuera sobre una situación absurda. Le daré vueltas unos días. Lectura corta y trata bastantes temas de relaciones con la familia y el trabajo.
I thought this book was going to be too short but in the end it felt just right, I was starting to think it had gone on long enough and Franz read my mind and brought the book to an end. It's all doom and gloom and instead of helping out Gregory the family focus on the disgrace he brings to the family, I'm sure turning into a bug is just a metaphor. If I was in their situation I would be putting up video's on YouTube, make me some money that way. Maybe turn the whole thing into a real life "Joe's apartment".
My first Kafka novel and I liked it, will be checking out more of his stuff soon.
Re-read (02/05/18) Read it in paperback this time around, enjoyed it much more, such a dark depressing story.
