Eileen is the fourth of Moshfegh’s books that I read. It is a beautiful and pretty dark book with elements of noir, a mesmerizing story about a young woman who has been treated very badly and the psychological and metal toll that the lack of love and affection brought to her life.

It is quite fascinated to be inside her head, read her unpleasant thoughts and feel her rage and disgust about her own self and her body, not knowing where exactly the story will take you. I loved this book.
