Still a hit with my son but I noticed he didn't laugh as often as he did with the first book in the series. I'm pretty sure he wants to keep going with these and I won't mind. There's enough humor for a reading parent that the story stays engaging.

George and Harold are back.

And so is Captain Underpants.

Our story begins with there being an upcoming Invention fair at the school. Both Harold and George were in it last year when they invented a glue that sticks people to their chair. This, however, did not go well with the teachers and students and it certainly did not go well with Mr. Krupp. In fact, this year's invention competition finds both Harold and George banned from it.

All this thanks to Mr. Krupp.

But George and Harold are determined to enter and win the grand prize - one day of being Principal of the school. They sneak into the place where all the inventions are at but Melvin is there. Melvin shows them his invention - the PATSY 2000. This invention has the ability to take an image and bring it to life. Melvin demostrates this …
