jami reviewed Lamb CD by Christopher Moore
Review of 'Lamb CD' on 'Goodreads'
3 stars
This book suffered greatly by comparison. Having just listened to Moore's interpretation of the King Lear story, Fool, I found Lamb surprisingly dry. Lamb's still funnier than most books you'll find, probably, but I didn't find Christ's best friend Biff nearly as compelling a narrator as the fool Pocket. And the audio book reading had too many characters who sounded like Keanu Reeves and The Godfather. Each would have been amusing applied to a single Biblical character, but there's no reason multiple characters should sound like surfer dudes and mobsters.
