Finished The Case of the Colonist’s Corpse (2004) by Bob Ingersoll and Tony Isabella and I have mixed feelings about it. The novel is about a murder case where Sam Cogley is brought in to defend a Klingon.

I’ll start with what I liked. Cogley is a character I really enjoy from the episode Court Martial. He loves books in an age of computers and is a brilliant lawyer and that’s on full display here. 1/6

Who can resist a fuzzy creature that makes cooing noises? Uhura can’t!

TOS (8ET): The Trouble With Tribbles
TNG (9ET): Parallels
DS9 (10ET): The Story Teller
VOY (11 ET): The Raven
ENT (midnight): The Andorian Incident

Finished Gemini (2003) by Mike W. Barr and I enjoyed it but had a few issues. The book focuses on a planet with conjoined twins as rulers that’s divided by the decision of whether or not to join the Federation.

I really liked the focus on the conjoined twins. That’s something rarely (if ever?) seen elsewhere in Trek and it made for an interesting exploration of what that experience might be like and how each twin is similar and different. 1/5

Worst Case Scenario is probably in my top 10 of all Trek (not just Voyager). Seska has always been one of my favorite villians!

TOS (8ET): I, Mudd
TNG (9ET): Gambit, Part 1
DS9 (10ET): Q-less
VOY (11 ET): Worst Case Scenario
ENT (midnight): These Are the Voyages
