After various earnest and failed attempts over recent years, I've conceded that my particular lifestyle makes it hard for me to keep up with reading physical books. I read a lot of articles online, but sadly my books sit on the shelf, half-started.
Total game changer- I bought some AirPods, and my local librarian gave me some suggestions about joining Libby and borrowing audiobooks. This was all BRAND NEW stuff to me!
Holy cow, what a breakthrough for me! Now I'm joined up to 5 library systems, and am having a total BLAST 'reading' books again. Got through In the Heart of the Sea, and The North Water this past few weeks, loved them both. I'm using my AirPods while fitness walking, on long drives, and on the couch in the evening with my feet up.

Biblioteca Central UNAM, Mexico City.

The Central Library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) was built by Juan O'Gorman in 1956.

To create the impressive mosaic that covers all faces of the book stack tower, O'Gorman collected 150 varieties of stone in 12 colours from all around Mexico. With an area of 16'000m² it is the largest mosaic in the world.

Oh my gosh, everyone, did you know that if you have a card, you can enter this big building full of books, look at all the (and magazines and newspapers) you want, and then they will let you take whatever books you want home with you for a couple of weeks?

I did forget to reserve the new Carl Hiassen, though. I ran out of time being distracted! I'm gonna see if I can reserve it online.

I usually don't have time to browse after my meetings at the library, but this one ended early. So, some books that caught my eye got to come home with me! Yay!
