Saw something online about celebrity/stalking culture, and it reminded me of this video of John & Yoko talking to a delusional fan. It’s always fascinated me how, at his worst, John could be arrogant & cruel— but at other times, like these, he could be so compassionate & tuned in. How are celebrities meant to navigate this, protect themselves, and maintain a healthy relationship with their audience? It’s not a battle I envy.

If you love books or history, and are visiting London, then the British Library is a must see. Not only is entry free, but there's some amazing pieces of historic literature on exhibition.

It includes things like an original first edition copy of Shakespeare's plays, a letter from Jane Austen to her sister; Oscar Wilde's handwritten draft of The Importance of Being Earnest; the handwritten draft of Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition sketch; John Lennon's handwritten lyrics for Strawberry Fields Forever; and a little document called the Magna Carta.

And that's just some of the documents, books, manuscripts, and more on display.

Reporter: “In a recent article, Time magazine put down pop music. And they referred to Day Tripper as being about a prostitute, and Norwegian Wood as being about a lesbian. I just wanted to know what your intent was when you wrote it”

Paul: “We were just trying to write songs about prostitutes and lesbians, that’s all”

50 Years Ago today: For Ringo Starr's 35th birthday, Keith Moon has "Happy Birthday Ringo" written by airplane in the skies above Los Angeles. Later, he sends the bill to Ringo.
