Another batch of chiles goes into the dryer

Guajillos, Chiles de Arbol, Paprika, and Cayenne.

The cayenne harvest is just about over -- we might get this many one more time. The guajillos are just kicking in. And I don't know many more of the paprikas will finish ripening before frost: we might get a lot more, we might get only a few more. The arbols were a accident so I'm happy with however many we get: this is the 3rd batch.

The made me consider the imbalance in my practice. We neglected our garden last year and it took us a long time to spring back from that. So I think I’ve overcorrected by succession planting ad infinitum because my goal is to always have something to eat in the garden. But rest is important. Fallow periods are important. In temperate climates, ppl rest in the winter. Here, the summer is a time when gardeners take a break. I need to find a middle ground. @gardening
