I Think They Love You was a sweet second chance/fake dating love story between Denz and Braylon. Denz comes from an event planning empire and his father, the CEO, is ready to step down and name his successor. In an attempt to make himself seem more responsible, Denz lies about being in a serious relationship. In an act of desperation, he convinces his Ex, Bray (who now goes by Braylon), to fake date him after running into each other for the first time since they broke up years ago.

This book was cute and sweet and all the things I love to see from a fake dating book!! I’m not usually a huge fan of second chance romance, but this one was done well. I loved the way we got to watch them fall back in love, both facing their fears to do so. The secondary characters were excellent, I …

Finished Beggars in Spain by Nancy Kress. This story follows through several decades a group of people genetically modified to not sleep. As they are smart and productive, they quickly become more rich and powerful than "sleepers" and ultimately some of them retreat from the hostile Earth to a space habitat where they further modify their children to become "supers" who are far smarter than any other humans. But the leader of the habitat hates the sleepers on Earth and creates biological weapons as leverage in her bid to secede from the U.S. Most of the "sleepless" have been raised with a type of Ayn Rand-ian objectivist philosophy which makes their thinking rigid. Main character Leisha is a sleepless who, through the supers, is finally able to get over the ridiculous objectivism she was raised on. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Finished The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity by anthropologist David Graeber and archaeologist David Wengrow. This 24-hour 😲 tome is quite a slog, but the overall themes were interesting and I even think refreshing is a fair term. The authors suggest that the accepted Western narratives of the evolution of humans and their societal structures are quite biased and faulty, as well as intentionally, selectively ignorant of available evidence. Further, they say that at some point modern humans became stuck in a hierarchical, patriarchal, and violent pattern that many early humans did not live within. Instead, there was a great diversity of early cultural forms, and often they were non-hierarchical, non-patriarchal, and non-violent. The authors go into great detail explaining how they interpret the available evidence from their fields. ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐

💥Book Review💥

Do you ever change your book ratings? I just did it recently. Because I felt like this was a 3.5-star book, it made me re-evaluate how I rated Ghost Station which I did not like as much as this book. Sometimes I'm trying to be nice about a book I didn't particularly like and I need to be more honest with myself. Most of my ratings are based on vibes anyway. Haha.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were cute and fun, making for an entertaining read, even if they weren’t particularly memorable. The small-town setting was charming, and I loved the witchy college and how magic blended into everyday life—I'd definitely read more about this world. The plot was lighthearted and fun, with a great …

I listened to this book in the middle of the night while I was driving to Orlando for the National Championship. My copilot was snoozing in the passenger seat (SLACKER) and this book kept me company.

This book was interesting and I really liked the premise. I love that they were able to fall in love without ever actually physically meeting or seeing each other. However, I do feel like that developed rather quickly. I was definitely fully invested in the story, it was easy to listen to. The narration was well done and really kept me locked in. I didn’t love the ending, but overall I did enjoy this one and recommend it!!

3.5⭐️

I was given a free ALC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thanks Netgalley!!

Last night I finished reading a book called "THE BOOKSTORE FOR DRINKING MOON GLOW" by Seo Dong-Won, and I didn't like it, I like some good fantasy, or books you can feel good after reading them, some nice cosy literature, but that book wasn't something I really expected, so I wouldn't recommend it, and now it's time to go back to thrillers, I love trying and mixing different genres, but now I'm in a mood for a thriller, darkness 😊
I'm currently reading"The Guest" by B. A. Paris. And I'm enjoying it.
