I am an atheist, but I am also fascinated by religion, religious practices, and spirituality so I tend to read about it all on occasion. I do think that just being human, being kind, being real- are all central to almost all religions/spirituality. Believing in something is understandable. BUT when you bring the organized part of organized religion into play, you tend to get patriarchal BS that just completely subverts what the original teachings were/are.
