friends, I know many of y’all love the Hill Country and our gorgeous . There’s a plan to put huge transmission lines directly through some of our most wonderful, fragile ecosystems, to supply power to the Permian basin. Please consider signing this petition against it:

"The Texas House on Thursday evening approved a bill that would allow private citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, mails or provides abortion medication to or from Texas.

Successful plaintiffs would be awarded at least $100,000 in damages. Women taking abortion pills would not be eligible to be sued under the bill, nor would women who take them after miscarriages."

I've heard it said that by redrawing the map to favor those five seats, Texas put
fifteen others at risk of flipping — even before figuring in the away-from-MAGA swings of as much as 20 points that we've seen in special elections, like the one in a previously "safe" red seat in Iowa.

I will absolutely
laugh my ass off if even after the gerrymander, Texas actually loses R seats in the midterms.
