I've been trying to re-watch SNW from the beginning, but I'm stuck at s1e9 because I don't enjoy Gorn episodes with gross things crawling out of live people's bodies. Can't make myself finish the episode or skip it. So now I'm re-watching Lower Decks (up to s1e8), after getting through about 2 more minutes/day of SNW s1e9. On my first watch when Lower Decks was new, I didn't really start enjoying the series until the end of the first season. I watched it, because it's Trek and I will watch all the Trek. But what I watch Trek for is characters, and when they have the exaggerated cartoon intonation, it's hard for me to take them seriously as people I care about. But by season 2 I did get to know the characters well enough to start enjoying them and caring about them. Tendi might be my favorite--I love her intellectual enthusiasm. Re-watching is more fun because I do already care about the characters, and now I appreciate the Easter eggs and Trek references more. I really enjoyed s1e7, especially transporter-phased Boimler being sent to that healing farm. Was that a warp 10 salamander? I assume so. #StarTrek #StarTrekLowerDecks #StarTrekSNW
The “Lower Decks” art book has been pushed back a second time, to January 2026, and the price has gone up a bit.
On the bright side, the moopsy is on the cover! I really like the new not-final cover, and hope the final version remains very similar.
