Soooooo here's my

I'm a 30 something cis men, partnered, living in 🇪🇺 . I'll post here in but I do understand , and a bit of (learning it).

That's my account, where I'll post a bit more of spicy content, from just bare chest selfies to sexually explicit content (from myself). I'll try to do my best using CW indeed, but I wouldn't consider myself generally SFW 😅.

This is a long shot, but maybe..

I'm lightening my load. Books in Spanish are difficult to give a second home here. Most second-hand stores don't take them, and they are rarely (or never) taken from the little libraries in our neighborhood. The only place I haven't asked is the library, they used to take book donations to resell them for funding, but they stopped during the pandemic. Maybe I can try that.

In the meanwhile... if anyone here is living in the US and would like one of this books, I can mail them if you're ok sharing your address on a DM. International mail is too expensive for me, so I'm keeping this local to the US.

They are a mix of historical fiction, fiction and non-fiction.

Boosts ok!

We are in the pumpkin season!

The diversity in Spanish vocabulary & its historical language contact. For example, during Arab rule in the Iberian Peninsula, Spanish borrowed words like “calabaza” from Arabic, which had Persian origins. In South America, Spanish adopted words from indigenous languages like “sapallu” (Quechua) or ayohtli (Nahuatl) or auyamá (Taino).

There really is so little information right now in the County, area, but Blue Ridge Public Radio is a good spot for finding some.

They have several articles in / for our sizeable latino population. The hurdles for people right now are almost unimagineable.

BC is still holding update conferences daily at 10AM and 4PPM. BRPR carries them live, (if folks have cell or internet service of course.)

Loki: meow?

Me: Setting up a Mastodon account.

Hazel: meow

Me: This is my very -- and definitely -- account. I used to have one on a similarly-focused server, but one that has been having some stability issues. So I'm here now.

Loki: *MEOW*.

Me: Oh, right. Probably should let people know a bit more about me.

- Things I am: , +, in a family of 3 older adults and 4 equally awesome (now mostly grown!) children.

- How I pay the bills: now, and before that, even longer ago.

- Other things I like: , obviously. Also ( in particular), , , , , , , , , …

I have noticed that Spanish speakers have a tendency to accent the second syllable of Kamala Harris’ first name. There is a linguistic reason for this: in Spanish the normal pattern of stress in any three syllable word (that ends in a vowel) usually lands on the second syllable. When it doesn’t, an accent marker is added: i.e. Málaga

So, a helpful mnemonic: Kámala.
