Dear community,
my friend is thinking about joining Mastodon and/or the fediverse. Specifically, she is looking for the speaking community!
As we all know it is notoriously difficult to find a server that matches our preferences (language, region, interests, moderation policies...)
Aggregators like www.joinmastodon.org or rely on server to register their instances (*cough I would not have found fedihum there)
So, please help!
Boosts appreciated!

New post!

I'm Alicia and I'm a fibre artist ( ) with interests in and .

My family and I run a business called @Fibre2Fabric where we dye all sorts of exotic , and .

I live in the country with my partner and our 6 , 3 , and where I enjoy my many interests. ( and I'm getting more into / )

When I say flow art, …

Question for my fellow folx: Has anyone found a good anguage learning method you've been able to stick with? I seriously need to re-up and improve my skills as sometimes I get folded into work conversations that started out in Spanish, and I'd like to be able to understand them better. I also feel like learning Spanish better would help me to understand the challenges my students face with English. Boosts welcome and appreciated. @ActuallyAutistic @ActuallyADHD

For anyone else learning Spanish like me... check out the "Conjugato" app for studying verb conjugaton! I just realized you can limit the flashcards to simpler verbs to start out. Top 25 seems to match my current Spanish class pretty well (halfway through A1). It then uses spaced-repetition to really drill in the flashcards and track what you know.

ALSO, it works offline, doesn't demand any permissions, doesn't have ads, and I just noticed the creator is on Mastodon, so that's cool. (Thanks for the nice app @ivmirx!)
