How do you think the systematic mass-murder on an industrial scale started?

In 1939, some camps where already there, people already rounded up - but the 'efficient' mass-murder had not started yet.
In the spring of 1939, even before the start of , people from the highest circle started planning. Led by Philipp Bouhler (director of Hitler's private chancellery) and Karl Brandt (Hitler's attending physician).

They planned to murder all 'disabled' children (& later adults) -

1. BTS: The black and white photo my Grandfather took of the Siegessäule (Berlin Victory Column) in Winter 1947, and my camera right where my Grandfather stood, in Summer 2024.

2. The past and present. After WW2 the trees in the Tiergarten were used for firewood to survive the winters, and the land was used in summer to grow potatoes and vegetables. Only 700 trees survived the post-war period. In March 1949, the restoration began. Today, the Tiergarten has returned to its former glory.

My camera is placed on a path in the garden facing the Victory Column. From the left of frame, I'm holding a black and white photo my grandfather took in 1947. In his photo, the Column stands in a field empty of all but a few trees. Snow covers the ground. No one is visible. In the present day, the sky is blue with a few puffy clouds, the Angel atop the column shines bright gold, and trees dominate both the foreground and background.
The left 1/3rd of the frame is my grandfather's black and white photo. You can see a wall running out of some bare trees in the snow. At the 1/3rd frame stands the Victory Column. This is where the picture transitions to the present day, color photo I took. The wall on the right is barely visible through bushes and trees. Flowers grow in the field, and the right 1/3rd of the frame is dominated by tall, lush, green trees.

I was going through a bunch of my dad's old , including a weird box of ancient glass-framed from the technical department of the national (Rigspolitiet). Seems like a bunch of more or less random photos of which a handful were interesting. I'm guessing the time period to be around the late or , just after .
