Years ago, I had a cat named Okki. He would always purr, even when he got terminally ill. Each time I picked him up, ever since he was a 5 weeks 'old' kitten, he would purr. Loudly! I could hear him purr from the other side of the big room ❤
I loved walking around with Okki in my arms, and ended up writing this years ago.

So sorry, but yet another toot. Not really my habit, but well, I need that now. Maybe you too 😊

Dear lovers fediverse,

what automatic food dispenser would you suggest, for those times I have to be away from home a couple of days or more? So far I've had my parents help with that any time I leave for a conference, but I feel it's unfair to treat them as "cat-sitters" all the time.

The ones I found all seem "connected", meaning they rely on some cloud service to work. That's something I'd rather avoid. Building my own thing is a no-go either, I'm lazy 😁

Any tips? Thanks!
