Pienso en aquel pasaje y creo que tiene que ver (para mí al menos) con cómo lo que aprendemos a ver como bello y bueno puede ser engañoso. Esto no quiere decir que siempre lo sea, ni mucho menos que deba buscarse lo brutal y lo repulsivo por principio. Más bien, que la #existencia es compleja, profunda, y rara vez se va a revelar entera de un solo vistazo.

Ursula LeGuin escribe en "Los desposeídos" acerca de "el silencio, el silencio absoluto" de la noche en Anarres, el planeta donde no existe la propiedad. Su protagonista se alegra de cambiar ese silencio por el ruido de un mundo capitalista –donde sí cantan los pájaros, se nos dice– pero su contento no dura mucho.

I finished the second book in the saga titled "The Tombs of Atuan". It's great.

It follows the story of Tenar, a girl taken to an old temple in the desert to be the priestess devoted to the "Nameless Ones", ancient gods long forgotten.

She was very lonely there; all her life changed when she met Ged, the first book's protagonist, who was in the underground labyrinth under the temple looking for an ancient relic. This encounter completely changes Tenar's life.

The main topics of the book are freedom, gender, and the power relations emanating between those, reflecting the anarchist views of Ursula.
