Wait, what? You can't end it there! What kind of an ending is that?!?? O.o
You'd think after 8 novels and how many short stories I'd have been wise to the ways of JT and been prepared for catastrophes and calamities and shocking revelations. So I thought I went into the book with my eyes opened and I thought I had identified the game-changing situation in this one fairly early on. On the other hand I did think it was a bit obvious that that one was going to resolve itself and I even predicted the resolving of same shortly before it happened. Because if it didn't, this would have been an entirely different kind of book all together. And afterwards, an entirely different kind of series all together. And while there are very few things indeed that I think JT wouldn't do, I strongly doubt she would have done that.
I underestimated her, though. Not with the aforementioned situation, but the actual real twist. I did NOT see that coming.
