Frankenstein is a marvelous book, so badly construed by every film rendition. Victor was weak of character, and so quickly regretted his playing God -- but not quickly enough, and guilt never became responsibility.

It is a story less amount the horrors of strangled victims and more about the insanity of hopeless loneliness and being victim to universal spite.
