I recently finished the count of monte cristo and came across this book, a sequel? I can't believe Alexandre Dumas is still alive but he must be as this has been written so well you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

The story is picked up right at the end of book 1 and you get the closure that was missing. Some knew characters are introduced and old ones return, Mercedes is back and so is Ali (yay!)

The next book features Sherlock holmes, really looking forward to how he will be included.
