The book's thesis can be roughly summed up to: "maybe this plant wouldn't be as invasive if the ecosystem hadn't been so damaged that even indigenous species can't grow? just a thought".
I had heard about some plants like Japanese knotweed or black locust, but not about most of the others. I'll just keep them in mind when I hear that this or that plant is very bad.
