ManyRoads reviewed Question of Betrayal by Anne Perry
Review of 'Question of Betrayal' on 'Goodreads'
3 stars
This historical mystery (fiction) was pretty good but it simply is not on par with the likes of Philip Kerr (Bernie Gunther) or David Downing (John Russell & Efie Könen) novels from within the same genre (WW2 mystery, spy, detective). The historical content in this novel is not as deep nor as thorough researched and/or presented.
It is, however, an entertaining, quick (eye-candy) read. It simply is not as complex or accurate in its portrayal of the 1930-1950 time frame.
